Many years ago, Jon Kabat-Zinn founded the Stress Reduction Clinic at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. This wasn’t the beginning of our understanding of the difference that mindfulness, meditation and systematic stress reduction can make in each life – however – it was the very early years of our awareness that living in stress was a sure way of creating mental, emotional and medical issues in our lives.
It was also the beginning, or the very early years of the acceptance by the medical community that stress not only exacerbates illness and disease, but can be a causative factor as well by affecting the immune system and biochemistry. A great asset to the alleviation of pain, emotional stress, foggy thinking, depression and so much more, is the practice of stress management, meditation, subconscious mind exercises, walking mindfulness, yoga, or any other approach to refocusing your attention from the stressors of life, turning inward, creating calmness and inner peace.
It is so easy to Google nowadays and find the research, find the ways to create and practice mindfulness, why would people not do it? The response is often – time – I don’t have time. And yet those who do practice a form of mindfulness most often find that they actually accomplish more – and enjoy their lives more. One way is, of course, the 6-Steps of The One Command –
- Go to theta
- Receive in Gratitude

Give it a try, with our Blessings
