We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think.
When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves. Buddha
What does Joy mean to you? How do you define it? As Buddha said—you become what you think. How you think about Joy creates the reality that you are experiencing now. So if feeling Joy is difficult for you, maybe it is time to change your mind and allow more Joy and fulfillment into your life.
As the December holidays approach, you may find yourself in anticipation of the wonderful memories of this time of year or maybe in dread of the days to come. You have the opportunity this month to experience the Joy of Joy. Whether you are one who throws yourself fully into the holidays or one that grits your teeth and just gets through it all, you can Challenge yourself to find and enjoy more Joy in your life.
This is your Challenge—to consciously spend time every day and allow Joy to follow you like a shadow that never leaves.
I, Bonnie Strehlow, eagerly commit to the One Command December Challenge of “Joy of Joy.” I commit to spending 15 minutes each day focusing on Joy for all that I am and have in my life. I commit to marking each step of “Joy” and to celebrate all that I have to be Joyful about.. I also commit to expressing the Joy of Joy to others in my life, so that they too can be in Joy for their lives as well. I commit to doing all of this in the spirit of Love, Laughter, Joy, Peace and the Joy of Joy.”
